Rules for 4-Cycle Jr Jr:
- All drivers must be attained ages 5-8. This
is the actual driver’s age on the date of competition
- All drivers and karts must meet the minimum class weight of 200#,
measured at the end of each race
- Pump gasoline only, no additives
allowed
- Driver’s fairing is not
allowed
- All other specifications as
provided by the current IKF rulebook for 4-cycle Jr
I competition
- Briggs flat head engines must meet the following specifications:
- Any IKF legal pipe and
muffler
- Any IKF legal clutch
with a 12 tooth drive sprocket
- 60 tooth sprocket
required on rear axle
- Must be fitted with a
.425 (Blue) restrictor plate including one gasket on each side
- Kill switch located in
the steering wheel must be functional
- Must be fitted with a
6” or longer pull strap located on the spark plug wire
- Briggs Animal engines must meet the
following specifications
- Engine must
be stock sealed animal engine as supplied by AKA – no exceptions
- No
modifications of sealed engine are allowed
- Carburetor
must be legal per IKF rulebook for stock Animal engines
- Must use
spec pipe and muffler as supplied by AKA
- Must use
stock 13 tooth Magnum drum clutch - any combination of springs and shoes
are legal
- Must use .500
throttle stop as supplied and fitted by AKA
- Stock kill
switch located on the front of the engine must be operative
- Engine seals
may only be broken in the presence of AKA tech officials
- Kid Karts per the current IKF rulebook
are allowed to compete in this class
